Before 2026, Let’s Get Present

Time and tide wait for none, huh?

But what if I tell you it does?

In fact, it actually can, when you are truly in the moment, nothing but present.

Just taking a moment to sit and breathe holds so much comfort and hope in our lives, something that feels deeply needed in today’s constant race.

It sounds simple, almost too simple but trust me, it makes sense when you intentionally implement it.

Every minute. Every second. It all matters.

But when I think about time, I’m nothing but a little terrified.
I mean, it’s been A YEAR since I last posted. Unbelievable.

It genuinely feels like January 2025 was just last month until I pause and look back at everything that happened in between.
The experiences. The people. The lessons.
The good, the bad, the unexpected. Oh my god!

And suddenly boom, it’s been a year, hasn’t it?

One thing this year taught me very clearly:
you cannot control everything and it doesn’t need to be perfect to be meaningful.

At the start of the year, I remember I kept telling myself:
“If I get this done, I’ll start that,”
or
“Once I achieve A, only then will I begin B.”

And trust me, that’s a never-ending loop.
The mindset, the planning all wrong.

So many of us fall into this pattern without even realising it.
We get stuck waiting for one thing to be “complete,” and in the process, everything else gets delayed. Before we know it, we’re right back where we started.

If even 1% of this feels familiar, I want you to know that it’s okay.

Things don’t need to be perfect every day.
Some days you give your 100% and some days 15%.

And that’s completely human.

What truly matters is that you continue.
That you show up, you try in whatever capacity you can.

This is where something shifted for me. Things Can Co-Exist

We’ve been conditioned to believe life is linear that certain feelings cancel each other out. But real life doesn’t work that way.

Growth and mistakes can co-exist.
Anxiety and confidence often walk hand in hand.
Accountability doesn’t cancel out self-forgiveness.
Learning almost always comes with unlearning.

Seeing this visually made something click for me, you don’t have to eliminate one feeling to earn another.

You just need to be human.

Once I stopped chasing perfection, I realised something about tracking and intentionality.

Not in a rigid, exhausting way but gently noticing what’s happening in your life.

Because the more you measure, the more things start to make sense.
Tracking your thoughts, habits, routines, mood, or even how your days feel… brings clarity.

And my friend, with clarity comes intention, results and perhaps progess.
The thing about progress is even tiny, tiny progress makes you feel grounded again.

It shows you what’s working, what isn’t, and what genuinely deserves your energy (and what doesn't, lol)

Besides, this year also reminded me to stop fighting battles that were never mine.

Other people’s opinions. Their reactions. The past. External events.

All out of my control.

But my reaction, my attitude, my boundaries, my choices, my actions always in my hands.

And honestly, that’s where peace begins.

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
Once that sinks in, things start to feel lighter.

Because you can’t control shit except the state of your mind.

With that note, let's stop giving our energy to things that don't bring happiness, peace, purpose (or money) into our lives.

Let's bring our best selves, not our perfect selves into the new year.

Maybe then, time won’t feel like it’s slipping away.

Maybe it will slow down just enough for us to feel it, observe it, learn from it and let it pass intentionally.

Are you READY?
Because I AM.

Cheers,
Kashish K.

Honestly it's so true to be present and keep progressing rather than chasing perfection.
I've read something on this : make it happen, you can make it good later. Me starting to post on Instagram was all due to this quote.
Now I just really go with the flow.

  7. Beautifully said. A powerful reminder that growth doesn’t need perfection—mistakes, learning, and self-forgiveness all belong together. Bringing our best selves, not perfect ones, may be how time finally feels meaningful, not rushed.

  8. Nice one, Kashish! I like the way you've enunciated your concept and presented your thoughts. Simple, yet profound. Deep, yet clear. Resonates with the way I've lived my life, actually: Live in the present. Make every moment count. Slow it down. "Live" your life. And live "your" life. Your mind controls your universe.
